I didn't know masticizing with apple! You gave me a great idea - I have a Jack

Lalane Juicer Pro that would be good for extracting the kale juice out of its

tough celluloid fibers (another reason why I don't like it; it's tough to chew),

along with apple. See, I've tried blending a whole red delicious apple (highest

in antioxidants of all apples) with either lettuce or grapes, and the

consistency was rather gritty and yucky. They tasted much better when I ate

them together in their whole forms, but now I should try juicing kale and apple,

that would work!

You might try juicing it, if you have a juicer, that is. I have a Champion and

I've been adding a little kale to my fruit juices. I don't taste it, but I get

the nutrients that way. It's important to work down an apple after the kale to

make sure it gets masticated. Or, you could add it to something in your food

processor. Or, you could chop it down smaller for your salad.

I have a question for everyone on kale, because I hate it! I could tolerate

blending it up with bananas, but I was wondering, if I'm already eating 1/2 a

bundle of parsley (I LOVE parsley!!!) and broccoli sprouts everyday in my mostly

romaine salads, will I be missing any nutrients by totally cutting out kale???
