Guest guest
There are a lot of myths about salt, so the most important thing to know is that there is a difference between table salt and mineral salts... A little article here talks about the difference: http://www.newstarget.com/019680.html Those of you who won't eat salt, more power to you. Those of you who do, choose an unrefined sea salt from a good source (the color should be gray and it is moist, unlike refined salt with anti-caking additives). I, for one, will not give up salt (that is mineral salts, not iodized sodium chloride, which is toxic). A good book on the subject can be found here: http://www.drbrownstein.com/salt.shtml Suzy
Guest guest
Thank you for this post! The article is great! I had no idea about the basics of salt. Personally, I greatly reduced my sodium intake several years ago mostly because it triggered chronic bladder infections in my body. My taste buds have since changed and I can always tell when something is loaded with salt, especially in restaurants. I have always looked at labels for sodium content, but now I know to look for sea salt specifically. Just as a side note to share...Annie's Naturals Goddess dressing is my FAVORITE dressing ever and it has healthy ingredients like organic cold-pressed oils and sea salt. Thanks again! Noelle:) Suzy <sgsikora wrote: There are a lot of myths about salt, so the most important thing to know is that there is a difference between table salt and mineral salts... Annie's taste GREAT- I agree with you, although I like the Cowboy Ranch. However, Annies uses toxic CANOLA oil as sadly do most organic dressings. Canola is a horrible and highly toxic MESS.
