Here is my response to the the state of Texas's attack against raw foods

because of bacterial risks:

Study: Children Exposed to Chemical Found on Bacteria Have Fewer Allergies

Chicago Tribune

CHICAGO - Researchers in Europe believe they can explain the increasing body

of evidence that children raised in clean, urban environments are more

likely to develop allergies and asthma.

A study published Wednesday suggests that these children have less exposure

to endotoxin, a chemical found on the surface of bacteria, which are

commonly found in dirt and around animals. If proved, the finding could be a

key to developing a vaccine for asthma, now the No.1 chronic disease of

children....

Study Shows Link Between Antibiotics And Allergies, Asthma

Children who receive antibiotics within their first six months of birth

increase their risk of developing by age 7 allergies to pets, ragweed, grass

and dust mites and asthma, according to study conducted at Henry Ford

Hospital in Detroit....

As my grandmother would say when any of us would complain about dirt in our

mouths, " You're gonna eat a peck of dirt before you die, you might as well

start now. "

My daughter's pediatrician always said the healthiest kids in his

practice were the ones allowed to get dirty.
