If I lose something I usually want to find it! I don't want to find the weight I've lost - hence I release the weight!!! Shari __________ Yeah !!! Well put Shari, I agree!! That's why we call repositories for lost items the " lost and found " . :) We are designed to be lean, as are almost all creatures large and small. (Exceptions are, for example, those that hibernate, as they prepare to hibernate). Watch the larger animals, in Nature, as they move -- lions and tigers and elephants, dolphins, whales, sharks, land or sea, it doesn't matter. In every case of which I am aware (except hibernatory, as mentioned), you can SEE the muscles, the rib cage/structure. Nothing is hidden from plain view. As Doug Graham has said on many occasions, either you're moving it, or it's moving you. I'd like to share a further bit of perspective about weight loss GOALS. May I suggest that, perhaps with rare exception, weight loss goals are inherently self-defeating? When we set such a goal, we tend to engage in acts which, while supportive of the goal, may be counterproductive to overall health. All one need do to verify this assertion is look out the window, so to speak, at all the dieting nonsense, and even the surgeries (e.g., liposuction, stomach stapling -- can you even imagine??) in the world, all intended to produce " weight loss " . We would serve ourselves far better by setting goals that relate to our overall health and well-being. Simply relearning to eat, engaging in a bit more physical activity, enjoying a bit more sunshine and fresh air -- and turning these little shifts into lifelong habits -- serves us far better than any weight loss goal. Just my 2 cents. Elchanan
