At Sat, 19 Aug 2006 it looks like kmdaven composed:

Today I had a shot of wheatgrass prior to my cup of coffee that had

a teaspoon of chocolate powder and soy milk and some agave...

I also had some meat this week too, a little in a relative sense of

the word.

I've been semi raw for close to three years, would eat some salmon

at worse. Last June, after three years of full blood work read outs, and

stuff like that along with documented weightlifting stats (same

exercises, same machines, same gym -- different diets...) I decided

to do six months of having small amounts of meat. In six months I

will again have my blood work done and compare.

Oh, I think I was actually " called " a (if there is such a term)

Pescatarian (veggie that does fish).

When I first went back to eating some meat it was a very blurred

week of eating lean meat, then some fast food, then I have somewhat

settled down now.

I am much stronger in the gym -- very scary -- and I'm anxious to

see how things turn out come December with my blood work etc. The

gym comparisons are more or less already settled for I have much

more power in the strength I have.

As for another controversial subject, I'm " O-Positive " and

for anyone who have read various stuff on that, well I'll just let

that subject sleep here on this list.

I have been to more than my share of " all " the raw food events,

potlucks, " RAWSTOCKS " and seminars by the likes of David Wolfe,

Brian Clement and there comes a point where one just simply have to

do the " testing " themselves if you ask me. I say the above to

simply state my " time " in this Union we belong to :)

While I'm typing this I'm staring at my nine tray Excalibur

dehydrator, just planted another two trays of wheatgrass

http://wiliweld.com/farm/ and if I keep this up for the full six

months I'll have to re-adjust my website statements etc.

My idea to do this came after reading the book about " The Okinawa Centenarian

Study " and their diet actually has meat in it and although I enjoyed

avoiding meat and fish as though they were poisin, I had to be

openminded. http://okinawaprogram.com/

I've always advocated being in overall good health and I used to

" ALWAYS " say that one must stay in shape, work out, eat good and

just bloody well (excuse the pun) be able to have enough body

strength to jump over a backyard fence to save your ass if your

house was on fire. I found it extremely difficult to convince any

raw friends of mine to lift anything heavier than a carrot in their

hands. Funny how that logic works.

Ok, my rant is over and my above statment is just my own, nobody

elses so don't get too excited over it. If you do feel antsy about

it, well... just jump over the back fence a few times and I can

assure you it will be the best excercise I can think of at this

given time :)

Namaste
