REQUEST purpose of this list

Hi everyone,

 

We've certainly stirred up a some feelings here today! I have a sense that some

of what is going

on simply arises from styles of communication. One person's " straightforward

talk " is another

person's insult, or flippancy, or whatever.

 

So my request is simple: would everyone be willing simply to agree that we are

all here, each

doing his/her best? If we all come from a presumption that everyone INTENDS to

be constructive

with every post, then perhaps it becomes easier for us to make room for

stylistic differences.

 

And perhaps, then, we could put this topic to rest, as it were. ???
