Guest guest
Todays word is " acrimonious " . geez dave, given the choice i'd rather sweet fruit to an acrimonious nature. you're still going on about something from last February. ....that's just not good for you. nor was the way you've done it, did you sneak back in to help someone ? ...not very likely is it. your post did send me to the archive & consequently helped me fill in some blanks about T.C. Fry. so, thx for the incentive. for those curious about this banning, read on. from the archives: Rawschool , " Nora Lenz " <nmlenz wrote: > > Hi listmembers, > Just to let everyone know, Dave has been banned. There are rational, sensible, nature-based ways of understanding all of the issues that he brought up, and every time we attempted to invoke these, Dave came back with increasingly inflammatory, exaggerated and misrepresentational rhetoric. A friendly, calm, objective discussion about TC Fry's failure to follow the diet he advocated and the consequences that he bore because of it may have some value but that's not what is happening here. Rather, Dave is using half-truths and innuendo to spread uncertainty and fear, whether or not this was his intent. Naturally I'm open to any sincere questions that people might have about any of the issues that have been mentioned. I remain dedicated to the idea that this list will be a place where understanding and trust of nature are nurtured, and since there are so many other forums out there that don't care about that, I'm sure Dave will be able to find lots of places where he is welcome. > Appreciatively, > Nora > > - " Bob Farrell " <farrell.bob <Rawschool > Sunday, February 26, 2006 5:43 AM [Rawschool] Re: DR. VETRANO'S book '' Error's in Hygiene ?! Hi Nora.. thanks for the update, and the explanation. I suspect it was a " difficult " decision, and on balance, for the sanity of the group, I think you did the correct thing. I've always found you willing to discuss issues, and I've also found you remaining ever vigilant to upholding the standards you've established for the group. Reminds me of a saying I'd learned in Safety training: " ...the maximum performance is determined by the minimum standards you've established and maintained. They're established when they are known and understood and they are maintained when they are followed. " I personally certainly know and understand the minimum standards you've established for the group. And, as a reminder, we send some of them out once a month to all members. The occasional banning of someone is only one of the ways that you/we maintain the standards you've established for the group. I was an active member of another Rawfood group previously; the board's inability to establish/maintain any standards, leading to the predictable mayhem, was the primary I rarely visit/post there anymore. I continue to appreciate the structured forum you provide here. Have a great day! best, Bob
Guest guest
I went into the archives of February, too. Although I wasn't bothered by Dave's nature of speaking on the group, I saw how it could negatively affect the goals of the group. So be it. Let it rest. You're welcome here, afterall. ~Janet rawfood , " Tom " <dfwhmail wrote: > > > Todays word is " acrimonious " . > > geez dave, given the choice i'd rather sweet fruit to > an acrimonious nature. > you're still going on about something from last February. > ...that's just not good for you. nor was the way you've > done it, did you sneak back in to help someone ? ...not very likely is it. > > your post did send me to the archive & consequently helped > me fill in some blanks about T.C.
