Guest guest
Several years ago, I decided to go totally raw just before a holiday. I went to the only raw food restaurant in town, and bought enough food to take out of town with me, and some to share. I had started a few days before I left, and was detoxifying, having flu like symptoms. I took the food to my mom's and endured the illness along with her standing over me with plates of food, asking me if I was sure I did not want any. My will-power held, and I stood my ground. I came home feeling good, and somehow started eating cooked again. I don't understand how eating raw can make you feel so good, but yet you still go back to the junk you know you don't kneed. The man who prepared the food in the raw food restaurant said that even he, sometimes has a taste for burgers, and I never would have thought he would have even thought of eating one. He said that once he actually ate one, and at the time he had totally raw for twenty-five years..
Guest guest
Hi Tamika, Decades of habit and conditioning are hard to overcome. Also, so much of the social and ritualistic aspects of our culture revolves around food. Unfortunatly for us, our society has chosen most of the wrong foods to base it's diet upon and so we often feel different at first. The cravings do get easier and easier to ignore and lessen over time and you get more accustomed to bringing your own food along, planning ahead etc. It can be done! :-) All the best, Audrey www.rawhealing.com > " Tamika Polk " <tamikapolk >rawfood ><rawfood > >[Raw Food] Eating cooked food >Thu, 24 Aug 2006 02:23:46 -0400 > >Several years ago, I decided to go totally raw just before a holiday.
