Guest guest
Paula, I would really like to know what is wrong with the Master Cleanse. I have tried to do it twice, and can't get past the first afternoon. The reason why is psychological as opposed to a lack of discipline. It's as if something inside is telling me that this is not the proper way to cleanse your body. I've decided that if I'm going to cleanse in that way...a liquid fast of sorts, I'm going to use green smoothies instead. But I would really love to know exactly what the cons are to the MC. In researching, I only found information about the weight loss and energy increase, but very little about how it detoxified and assisted the body in healing. Although I did find something last week that admitted to an increase of gall and liver stones after the MC. If you or anyone else has more information please share. Thanks! If you want to find out more about cleansing and the proper way to do it, read " Cleanse and Purify Thyself: Book 1 & Book 2 " , by Dr. Richard Anderson. He has a site that contains some information: www.cleanse.net This book is only about $14 and it is a great reference. I have looked at it about once a week for the last three years. Always start with an intestinal cleanse and build from there. You can call Arise and Shine for more information too, they have health coaches available to answer questions. They may even be able to put you in touch with a physician in your area that knows about the cleanse. > > His products can be ordered at: www.ariseandshine.com > > Stay away from the Master Cleanse. One of the members was going to post information from a medical and nutritional perspective about why he would never do that cleanse again...but I think he may have left the group before he had a chance. > > Good luck! > lala > > > > > dcbella76 <colleen.grant wrote: > Has anyone done a body cleanse? As with anything in this world, some things work better for some people than for others. If you don't feel that the Master Cleanse is going to good for you then no amount of information I, or anyone else, could show you would change your mind. That is why we have so many ways to do so many things. Aren't we lucky! > In researching, I only found information about the weight loss and > energy increase, but very little about how it detoxified and > assisted the body in healing. Stanley Burroughs, the man credited with the Master Cleanse, wrote a book called _Healing in the Age of Enlightenment_ which details what he believed the Master Cleanse capable of. He also wrote a small booklet just on the Master Cleanse. Here is a link to a file of links on the Master Cleanser on the list website rawfood/links/FASTING_001140836019/MASTER_CLEANSER\ _001142219165/ you should be able to find ample information there.
