Dear Friends of Natural Hygiene,

We will meet in High Park, in Picnic Area 3 at the covered tables, at 6 pm.

It is a little to the west of the road, near the playground.

We are having a fresh fruits and veggies, a few nuts or seeds only potluck

dinner and our discussion.

Please attend, rain or shine. It's under the covering for the tables if it is

just a littlle shower, not a tornado, or we will cancel if the weather is not

tolerable.

If you are not sure if we are cancelling at the last minute due to severe

weather call Les on his cell at 416-887-0333.

TTC: This area can be reached by walking from High Park Station, south along

East Road, from Bloor Street to the Trackless Train stop and going just past the

concessions booth # 1 with the public telephone.

Auto: From Keele/Parkside and Bloor, go a little west on Bloor. Come in the

gate travelling south and park in any spot. The parking is free, and the number

of nearby spots are limited, since the weather is so fine and the park is filled

with people, so come early to walk a little further from where you leave your

car. Then follow the directions above for people walking in.

The park itself has very little signage as to where our area is, so please

print off this map and bring it with you if you are not familiar with the

landscape:

We would prefer whole raw fresh organically grown produce for our

dinner, mostly fruits and vegetables and some nuts or seeds and because of Food

Combining, we request no starches; that is, no carrots, corn, potatoes and so

on. Please bring plates, utensils, serving dishes & everything else that we

need.

Have you ever wondered if there really are hygienic superfoods?

What do Hygienists say which foods are superior foods and why?

How is a food rated for its goodness?

What foods are mainly eaten by raw foods hygienists?

What is a popular raw natural food coming into our county and most people do

not even taste it as being bad and rancid?

Please feel free to bring your reseach for the discussion on each topic to the

meetings to share with others.

Please check our group website often to keep up to date.

Soak brown rice in plenty cold filtered water with coral calcium and/or sea

salt for 12 hours. Drain. Mix in chopped bean greens and place in serving

dish. In a glass place (onion, garlic) sweet pepper with and any other desired

seasoning greens. Just cover these with olive oil and let soak. In another glass

mix curry powder with the avocado enough soy oil to make into a paste. Juice

beet, carrots and celery and Chinese spinach. Add curry paste to juice and mix

well. Pour curry sauce into serving sauce bowl.

Part of the enjoyment of this dish is all the serving that you allow

yourself. I'll explain. You have the rice mixture in a bowl. The

(onion/garlic) sweet pepper with rosemary, sage, thyme mix in a serving shot

glass (or something) and then you have the sauce that should look

orangy/reddy/browny, and another serving bowl all on a tray. Your bowl is empty.

Then you spoon in some rice and on one side of the rice you spoon on some of the

(onion garlic) sweet pepper and herbs mix, on the other you spoon on some of

the curry sauce and so as you eat the rice, you decide how much of what flavours

you want. Then you can serve yourself some more rice and more sauces... it

reminds me of the way Asians eat- many serving bowls of different interesting

stuff.. and you keep serving yourself as you go along.

This stuff not only tastes good.. it looks good too!
