Guest guest
I dehydrated bananas and they look so gross. They don't taste so hot either. I looked on a SAD package of banana chips and the ingredients are Banana, Sugar, Coconut Oil, and Sulfur Dioxide as a preservative. The Sulfur Dioxide is used to maintain the appearance of the fruit rather than prevent rotting, according to Wikipedia (encyclopedia). Well I can use agave nectar instead of sugar and coconut oil but what can I use to make them appear pretty? Please help! Also how much agave and oil ratio to banana do you think I should I use? Guest guest
I could be wrong, but I think I remember reading somewhere that lemon juice will prevent fruit from browning? Could try dipping the slices in the juice before drying. Take care, Sky. minnie9090 <minnie9090 wrote: I dehydrated bananas and they look so gross. They don't taste so hot either.
