Guest guest
I am a newbie and couldn't seem to find the info I wanted in the past posts. So I am asking . . . Suppose you want to drink alkaline water, but you're on a budget, so you need the cheapest you can get. Say for instance, you have to use tap water. And sometimes I buy distilled water if I can afford it. Robert Young says to add baking soda (2 t. per liter) but this tastes bad -- though I am getting used to it. I also add a tiny bit of stevia. Are there any other cheap and better=tasting additives that will make water alkaline?? For taste, I sometimes add lemon juice squeezed from a real lemon. Is this increasing the acidity of my water? Should I add more baking soda to counteract that. In fact, when I add more baking soda to lemoned water, naturally the two react. So maybe no lemon?? Thanks in advance. Guest guest
Hello butz57, I wouldn't suggest baking soda at all! I say you're doing the right thing with lemon, though. Try obtaining organic lemons and juice one whole lemon, white stuff included, into a quart of purified water. (I used to drink distilled, but I've found it more beneficial for several reasons to switch to purified). Lemon contains minerals, which are alkalinizing. Lemon itself is acidic, but what counts is our body's chemistry in reaction to ingesting the lemon, which turns out to be alkalinizing. -Tiffany Lohr butz57 <mbthakar wrote: I am a newbie and couldn't seem to find the info I wanted in the past posts.
