Guest guest
What about one of those old types that my grams and mom used to use to make hamburger? It's the type that attaches with a screw to the countertop or breadboard and you just turn the arm while feeding the meat down from the top. They were always silver with a wooden part on the handle. Meat grinders is what they called them! Mom used to grind bologna and dill pickles to mix with mayo and make sandwich spread. You can find these machines in most any second hand store. They are manual, ohmygosh, you would have to do the turning of the handle yourself, but they work. Shari
Guest guest
If you're going to be doing lots of bones over a long period of time, I saw a suggestion on one of the raw pet boards: put a garbage disposal into a table. The meat that went through the disposal then fell into a bowl set underneath. My Golden Retriever has been 100% raw for five years and we haven't had any problems with big chunks or bones. Guest guest
Cool, thanks, Tom. Being interested in biologically appropriate food in general, I know a lot of raw vegans also feed their pets raw meat and I was having trouble finding certain information, so I thought some members on this list would be a possible starting point/resource, and I appreciate all the responses. Just in case others didn't see the post from the moderator, we were asked to discontinue this discussion. Thanks again, Laurie rawfood , " Tom " <dfwhmail wrote: > > One grinder that's often recommended on barf lists > is from http://www.northerntool.com/ > under a 100.00 too. > > tom >
