Guest guest
Ok this sounds a bit sick but I just chalk it up to information on the raw living process. I've been doing Raw for almost two months now, I love it. It's my second attempt at going raw. The first time I overloaded myself and quit, the second time now it's actually working quite well. So well that I lost twenty pounds the first month and am heading into loosing more weight and feeling better. The problem is my good friend who just started on it, on the urging of myself, is totally having stool trouble. She's nauseaous alot and really having trouble stayign away from the toilet. She's also a diabetic but she says her sugars been ok. When I started I remember I was the same way for about a week, not nauseaous but stool trouble. I chalked it up to cleansing and it didn't last all that long. So what can I do for her? Is it because she's doing half raw and half cooked food? She's having trouble working and it's interfering with every day life for her. Please give us some ideas. Thank you so much This list moves so fast so could you post to my email. Guest guest
Some people need to switch to raw more gradually- obviously this isn't working for your friend. She is having a lot of detoxing. This is what happens when the body starts to shed toxins more rapidly than it can eliminate them. She could do it more gradually. Or she could start doing enemas daily to help with the toxic load. It sounds like the first option would work better for her. One thing I would recommend if your friend can do it, is to go to a place like Hippocrates Institute or Optimum Health Institute where they will help her to adjust to the lifestyle change. Guest guest
I know when I started eating raw I did it far to fast. I was one day about maybe 10% raw and jumped to 90% or higher I felt really yucky cause my body was flushing out the toxin fast. Then I started having migraines like 4 in 1 1/2 weeks. I went and had my neck adjusted at a chiropractor and the migraines went away but I got one wicked head cold like in only 2 hours or so afterwards. I have also had stomach cramps as well off and on. So I have had to slow down on the switch and build up slower to which has helped me a great deal. It is amazing that our bodies can hold on to that many toxins and just when we do a healthy change like changing our diet our body just " goes okay time to clean house " . Just in my own personal opinion I would slow down and do the raw food switch slower and drink lots of water to help with the cleanse. Once you get closer to 100% raw diet you will feel so much better but it just takes time to repair what has been damaged by all the years eating and drinking toxic food. Guest guest
Hi, I am a Christian and the bible may indicate that grapes are useful for stomach ailments. Guest guest
Yes. 1 Timothy 5:23 says: " Do not drink water any longer, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent cases of sickness. " However, most wine is heated to a high temperature during processing, so would actually not be considered raw. Also, as far as I know, alcohol is not great for diabetics. Guest guest
alcohol turns to sugar in the body, and this is why it is not good for diabetics.
Guest guest
Hi, You evidently wrote without the knowledge that in the original bible texts there may not have been separate words for wine and grape juice. I was referring to the latter, which would have been non-alcoholic, unheated and helpful for one's stomach. I can't see why wine would be more benefical than grape juice. In Jesus' name, Philip. much about the bible rawfood , " Cindy " <sindyblue wrote: > > Yes. 1 Timothy 5:23 says: " Do not drink water any longer, but use a > little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent cases of > sickness. Guest guest
I don't know about anyone else, but I don't like the taste of anything with alcohol in it. I guess I'd have to suffer if I could not have another alternative.
