Hello everyone. This is my first post.

I have been wanting to go 80-90% raw for quite sometime, but I know

that there is an adjustment period lasting the first few days. From

what I understand, this may include headaches, nausea, intestinal

disturbance, flu like symptoms, etc. Up til now, that meant I

couldn't try it, because of the kind of job I held (manual labor).

That has since changed, and this is my first raw day.

This is going to be kind of weird perhaps, as I hate the taste of most

fruits and vegetables. Apples, bananas, and seedless grapes go down

well, but everything else I have to juice. (Juice because I can hold

my nose while I drink it. Can't do that while eating, as it would

take too long to finish eating the food.) Steaming veggies doesn't

make them taste any better to me. If I had to choose between eating

foods that tasted bad to me, and starving to death...well, I would be

extra glad that I'm a Christian. I just can't help gagging on nasty

tasting stuff. *shrug*

I have some questions for those experienced among you.

I plan to drink white tea. Also, I will be drinking one glass daily

of Purity's Triple Greens (powdered greens drink). Are either of

these things counter-productive on a high raw diet?

Also, is it unhealthy to get most (not all)of your vegetables and

fruits in juice, provided it's raw and fresh from the juicer?

Thanks guys. I am happy to be here. Good day!
