Guest guest
Not to burst any bubbles, but word on the Raw Street is that supplements are not necessary if you are eating raw. Personally, I think they are good though as you're transitioning and finding your way to a variety of foods, since many of us start out with a limited variety. Also you should know that the genius of nature is virtually impossible to duplicate. The vitamins we need are all found in nature but they are not found working alone. They work together like a soccer team and they depend on each other and react to each other in ways that current supplements simply cannot do. You can easily find the anti-oxidants you need in foods like blueberries, strawberries, dark or raw chocolate, red wine, green tea, just to name a few. Dr. Andrew Veil is a great author to read about fresher nutrition and medicine. Although he isn't necessarily a straight raw foodie, he explains in detail about how the body processes food and nutrients. Awhile back, I found his book on cd at the library to listen to on the way to work. Good luck!
