Guest guest
10/4 In very many instances, at the close of intellectual task–work, suspension of bodily activity is not what is wanted: play is what is needed – not work! As against the labor of the brain, labor of the body may be setup; but it must come “in disguise”: it must not come in the form of toil; it must come in better and more acceptable way, clad in the garb of recreation. There is nothing in all our educational, social, or domestic arrangements which is so much needed by all classes of persons as opportunity for recreation – the means of recreating ourselves against the wear to which our daily life subjects us.
