Guest guest
Hi Tommie, Thanks for the reply! I'd eat greens anyway, but I don't want to put my fam in any tiny danger...so, next Spring, I'll be planting tons of greens! I agree though that more people get sick from their meat...now pair the two together and you know exactly what the media/docs will go after these days. It's e coli from your greens, not the meat that was processed along with the poop the cows were standing in! Blech!!! I wasn't raw with my other pregnancies. I wasn't even close with my first (over 6 yrs ago). I started doing nutrition research after him and was eating more vegetarian-like (like you said, veggie SAD) with meat here and there with my second (over 3 yrs. ago). I was basically vegetarian when I got preggo with my 3rd (Jan. of last year) and had major aversions to fruits and veggies. I'd barf everytime I ate them!! It was crazy. All I wanted was meat and potatoes and mac-n-cheese! Each pregnancy found me sicker and sicker. I've been vegetarian now for almost a year...occasionally having fish or meat (no pork). That occasion for the meat is very few and far between. I get very lethargic and feel blah for the rest of the day anymore, after eating meat...not so much fish, but the heavier stuff. I was eating a lot more raw before this pregnancy, too. I think all of that factors into my feeling of well- being this time. I get nauseated only if I don't eat as soon as I feel hungry, but I can calm that with something a little salty until I can get something more substantial. I've had a lot of energy, too. I was out playing football with my boys this past weekend and the neighbors thought I was crazy! Preggo and running around? Where'd she get that energy? Granted, I'm not exactly eating raw right now...not like I want to. I finally have all the equipment, but I find that I'm backsliding. Pretty much the only raw I've had today are some mango slices and part of an apple before my daughter bogarted it from me and snotted all over it. Yummy! I want to get back to raw though. I'd like to find a raw pregnancy recipe/guideline book...know of any? Well, my kiddos are calling. Take care.
