Guest guest
Hi Annie! I travel alot too, and used to have fits trying to figure out how to stay raw. I found a small electric refrigerator at Target (About $75), it has a car adapter and an electric cord. I make homemade raw bars and stock the cooler with them. When I get to my destination, I scour the local markets for organic, then just buy what I need. Its pretty challenging, but worth the effort. I also pack small paring kives, and a portable, hand cranked food processor (15 bucks at kitchen collection) Also, walmart has a personal blender, battery operated, called the Tornado (8 bucks). These will do in a pinch to make smoothies or juice. If I am going to be gone any length of time, I also take my Magic Bullet blender with me-it has a juice attachment (not too great on super hard veggies, but does an adequate job with cucumber, celery, parsley. I hope this helps. Brenda
