detox?

How do you know if you are having symptoms of detox vs. being sick, and is

it possible to start detoxing while still consuming some cooked foods?

I have been changing over to increasing quantities of raw food. At first I

felt really good with it - was sleeping better, had more energy, etc.

Lately I've been having a great deal of difficulty sleeping. At first I

thought it was because I'd slipped and had more cooked food. I went to

green smoothies and have been having a lot of green smoothies each day. I

make up a vitamix full and drink it over the course of the day.

I tend to have raw food all day until dinner and sometimes I still have raw

and sometimes it's some raw with some cooked.

Before when I was feeling good I was eating a lot of nuts and

avocado...lately I've not been doing that because was concerned about the

amount of fat I was eating and was wanting to lose weight. But a bit I am

wondering am I feeling worse because I am not getting enough fat or protein

now, or is it something else entirely.

Very suddenly this afternoon, out of nowhere, I starting having pretty

extreme nausea. I feel quite sick. I don't have any other symptoms other

than a bit of a headache starting.

I am supposed to be going away for the weekend tomorrow on a 3 day bus trip

so I am hoping that I am not sick for that. I've already got some green

smoothies frozen in preparation, and am bringing a cooler so I can gradually

thaw them. I'll have some cooked food while away but am bringing quite a

bit of raw as well.

Could this be a detox even though I am not nearly 100% raw, and if it is,

how do I make it better fast??

I'm also thinking maybe it's lack of sleep though I don't usually feel quite

this sick on little sleep.

Thanks for any help or advice anyone can offer.
