Guest guest
check out the Hippocrates diet- I think it is called the " Living Foods Lifestyle diet " . It avoids fruit and recommends limited amounts of healthy carbs. It is a very focused form of the raw diet that encourages food combining, sprouts and wheatgrass. It is very good for recovering from any kind of disease, an it sounds like it might be good for helping your friend with Syndrome X and her other conditions. There is a good intro book by Brian Clement about it. It is how I first learned about raw foods when I was recovering from cancer. I didn't eat fruit for 2 years! I highlt recommend it. Also there is a great cookbook out now: " Healthful Cuisine " by Anna Maria Clement and Chef Kelly Serbonich, (the best raw food chef around, in my opinion). terry
