Guest guest
Over the last couple of years, I have received numerous requests and questions about the Life Science Health System. I have personally received a lot of value from this classic correspondence course. It has provided me with some very concise, fundamental insight into the whole concept of " Natural Hygiene. " It's given me much needed information about the entire subject, and provided many " springboard " ideas. The LSHS was authored by T.C. Fry, and many others, and was promoted and sold primarily in the 1980s. The LSHS consists of 106 lessons and runs about 2,500 pages in total. This course originally sold for about $1,000 in the 1980s. This was originally a correspondence course, with graded " tests " , certifications and/or degrees being offered. Accounting only for inflation, the cost of the same offering today, without use of the Internet, would be >$3,000. Ipaid $200 for my course, hard copy, received in a couple of largeboxes, in late 2004. I have since made up 3 ring binders, with printed, tabbed dividers, and printed covers and spines. The course sits on my Health library bookshelves. I have posted two of these lessons on the YPoH site, located here: Files <http://health.> > NaturalHygiene <http://health.Natural%20Hygiene/> > Life Science Health System below that, you'll see: Lesson 29 Condiments.pdf <http://f1.grp.fs.com/v1/oP0NRc-hc91MobBb9gs9_H_w90KCIvNs5qh4PGMUnl\ n0nOAgLUVcos3iu6fl0iJmtrhkxmbdZGDfLh5rGpHSFw/Natural%20Hygiene/Life%20Sc\ ience%20Health%20System%20/Lesson%2029%20Condiments.pdf> LSHS Lesson 66 -disease and epidemics.pdf <http://f1.grp.fs.com/v1/oP0NRX_jfGxMobBbLvpf5BZ4bE4RMkSJ26oyVbu-vO\ -AJgb_8TU8wcWkIR_Brb2-CJAXvN-wB8TVoQAWQ77EBQ/Natural%20Hygiene/Life%20Sc\ ience%20Health%20System%20/LSHS%20Lesson%2066%20-disease%20and%20epidemi\ cs.pdf> These are posted here as my gifts. I encourage interested people to download one of these, so that you may see what they look like, once they've been scanned in, and cleaned up a bit. Knowing that this course has had value for me, and I believe offers significant value for other Health seekers, here's how I propose to handle requests for copiesof various lessons from the Life Science Health System. (LSHS) I plan to offer them on an " exchange " basis, as follows: Level 1: If the lesson is less than or equal to 15 pages, the " exchange " value is $1.00 plus the number of the lesson. For example, Lesson #36 is twelve pages long, so the exchange value would be $1.36. Level 2: If the lesson is more than 15 pages, and less than or equal to 25pages, the " exchange " value is $2.00 plus the " number " of the lesson. Another example, Lesson #29 is 18 pages long, and its exchange value would be $2.29. Level 3: If the lesson is more than 25pages, the " exchange " value is $3.00 plus the cost of the lesson. Lesson #66 is 28 pages long, and its exchange value would be $3.66. With 2,500 pages, and 106 lessons, I plan to offer the first 101 lessons. The last 5 are primarily about going into business for yourself, and probably of limited value/interest. With that said, the first 101 lessons would average about 21 pages each, so the exchange value, on average, will probably run about 2.xx/lesson. What you would receive from this side of the exchange would be the following: a scanned, OCR'd (Optical Character Reader), and slightly cleaned up copy of the complete lesson, including the quizzes and answers, delivered in electronic PDF format. Note that one of the advantages of this format is that the text will be " searchable " - if you're looking for information on " garlic " , for example, a search will highlight all instances of garlic. This feature, by itself, begins to make up for a lack of an overall index. At this time, fact-checking, correcting, updating, etc is not planned. If that feature is added in the future, a different " exchange " value would be offered. Note that being 20+ years old, some of the material, asin any " document " , may be outdated. Newer research has been conducted. As a " Natural Hygiene " base, this series is an excellent start. I personally recommend the first 6 lessons, which comprise the first part of the program, and are entitled " Part I - The Foundations of Life " . The first six (6) lessons went through about page 160. These are an overview, more of a survey of all of Natural Hygiene. If you want a quick, easy overview of Natural Hygiene, this is a good primer. The entire listing of the program is found at the front of lesson 29 PDF, in the YPoH files section at the group site. I will probably just scan that in separately, so people can have just that. Or one can download lesson 29, and just print out the first couple of pages, and have it in front of them. An email may be sent to BobFarrell <http://health.PathOfHealth/post?postID=WiyhnyfbT\ fCtClomcNkCaRHAJuGMTJJWHK-F2icI9xw_sH1TQAcyfZyMEqZqBtl6W28PL1As8FPEIQ-QI\ N6ymYpF> , with the letters LSHS in the subject line and you will receive a return email, detailing exactly how to enact an " exchange " for any lesson thatyou'd like. (Please note that you *CANNOT* get the information you're requesting if you either click on that link just above, or click reply, and choose my name and email address, rather replying to the group. In both of these instances, 's mailing system intervenes, and creates an email on your behalf. It *does not* allow an autoresponse to be sent to you; it goes back to ) I welcome feedback, comments or exchange requests. I'm particularly interested if people perceive this as a fair, has value, " exchange " offering. Note that exchange requests may be made for *any* lesson - not just completed ones. Some of the lessons include special articles by notable people, like Dr. Vivian Vetrano talking about Vit. B12, etc. In response to the specific request about Garlic and Onions, Lesson number 36, Junk Foods: Garlic and Onions, is now ready for " exchange " .
