Guest guest
In the American South, black-eyed peas are eaten on New Year's Day for good luck. Most people also have a helping of greens, such as collards or kale (green is, after all, the color of our money) In Chile, and other countries, people eat lentils on New Year's Day. If you are still wondering what to fix for lunch or dinner tomorrow, there are a couple of New Year's recipes in the holiday recipe files. (These recipes have been developed by yours truly, therefore, no risk of anyone being upset-- yes, copyrighted by me, but I am the one who posted them to the list, so I am pretty sure we have permission to have them there!)
