Is it good?> Greens and fruit are the best. Have you ever tried a green salad with sliced peaches, pears, or my personal favorite, nectarines? It's fabulous. The green smoothies are great, too. Spinach/apple, or kale/apple/pear, or collard/carrot/pear, etc. Any of those are great. The first naturopath that suggested raw foods to me said to eat only fruit for breakfast as well, but my acupuncturist was horrified at that suggestion -- she thought the sugars would be too much on the system first thing. She suggested greens. However, with what I know about nutrition, when you juice you remove the fiber and cellulose, important particles of the food that slow down the body's glycemic response. That's why the fat might be good, but there are others with more nutritional knowledge who would have other things to say about that, I'm sure ;>) Try to learn to trust yourself with regards to what you like to eat, what fills you up, what gives you energy, etc. If you really take everyone's opinions into account, you will end up eating nothing. My favorite smoothie is almond milk, frozen berries, half a banana (fresh), some vanilla flavoring and some stevia. A lot of people on this list would cringe at those combinations. But I like it and it works well for me. I also eat a ton of avocados, nuts, fruit, whatever I feel like eating, and I have never had a weight problem as long as it was raw. As soon as I start eating home-made biscuits & butter or some chips & salsa, I feel like crap and I gain weight instantly. You will have to figure out what works best for you. In addition, quantum physics tells us it's more about how you FEEL about what you are eating than what you are eating. That is not to say raw isn't a better way to eat, but no matter what you are going to do, you have to feel that it is right and healthy for you personally.
