re candida cures:

There is no such thing as an *easy* candida cure, besides

eliminating any sort of sugars, fungus/mushrooms/fermentated foods

and following a fairly strict low glycemic regimen.

I think the best information is available in Dr. William Crook's book

_The Yeast Connection_.

Dr. Crooks works with SAD patients, so the recipe information is

basically SAD, but is easily translated into living food.

The " eliminations " work with raw/living food as well.

The advantage, when we are eating living/raw food is that most of the

foods that are eliminated on a candida elimination diet are not

anything a raw/living food person would eat anyway.

There are some things that are proscribed, and a raw food person who

is interested in eliminating candidiasis naturally should adhere to

such eliminations... unfortunately, for those in transition, this

would include ANY AND ALL SWEETENERS (yes, I am saying natural

sweeteners), and would indicate a LOW GLYCEMIC regimen (yes, like Atkins!)

I would suggest you look at Dr. Crooks' book, The Yeast Connection,

and look at his " can eat " list, and follow that.

One of the things that I like about Dr. Crooks is that he seems to

really understand the issue, and to understand that men, as well as

women, might be affected.

Other writers/ " experts " (and here, in raw food, they are ALL male),

poo-poo Dr. Crooks' information, and tell you that you can eat

anything, as long as you eat raw. I find, in my practice, that this

does not work.

A low glycemic diet, which eliminates high-glycemic foods, such as

*any kind of sweeteners, i.e. dates, honey, figs, raisins, and agave

syrup, i.e., anything that is a sweetener, *and most things that

people say are okay for diabetics!*, as well as the elimination of any

kind of fermented food product (goodbye vinegar, pickles, miso, soy

sauce, nama shoyu, sauerkraut, etc.) is the way to eliminate candidiasis.

Dr. Crooks' regimen, although aimed, primarily, at SAD people, works

with a living food diet. Do it, get results.

Regardless of which RAW FOOD GURU you are following, Dr. Crooks'

regimen will work. That is the beauty of it.

Eliminate the foods he says eliminate, and you will have success.

The fun thing about Dr. Crooks' regimen is that it mirrors

low-glycemic diets (such as Atkins), and it does not out and out fly

in the face of any " popular " or " raw-food-guru-recommended " regimen.

Those who say you can eat anything raw and clear candidiasis do not

necessarily have a clear understanding of how candidiasis works.

Nevertheless, if you are eating copious amounts of greens, eliminating

sweeteners, and high glycemic foods, and fermented foods, as

recommended by cr. Crooks, you will experience success. Using the

recommended nutritional supplements, such as food grade hyrdogen

peroxide, grapefruit seed extract, or herbal vermifuges, such as

wormwood, black cohosh, and/or formulas containing these elements,

will increase your success and relief.

Blessings

Margaret
