Guest guest
For the past 6 years, I have spent thousands of dollars trying to help my son (who will soon be 13) with his autistic behavior of handflapping and sometimes staring at objects and making weird noises. I tried the RAW food diet last summer for one month and these behaviors became even worse. He was also losing weight even though I was trying to feed him foods with fat such as avocadoes, coconut, and nuts. He dropped almost 10 pounds in 3 weeks and he is already very thin, so I was scared. He is 90 lbs now and was down to 85 when we stopped the RAW experiment. After stopping the RAW food diet, we put him on prescription anti- fungals (diflucan and also amphotericin) and we immediately saw improvement. He calmed down and the ezcema on his hands, which he has had long-term, went away! His autism is definitely yeast- related. He is doing better on these, but I don't want to keep him on medication long-term. I believe he also has mercury poisoning from vaccinations, and we have tried chelation with DMPS, DMSA, and ALA. They all produced mouth sores inside of his mouth within several days of using. I am not sure what this means, but I need to find a way to get mercury out of his brain and ALA crosses the BBB. I would like to try RAW food diet again, but need to do it differently. He probably shouldn't eat alot of fruit (we have him fruit-restricted right now while doing anti-fungals) as well as severly limiting honey and dates and such. I wonder if Agave feeds candida... Also, according to " Eat Right for Your Blood Type " he isn't supposed to be eating coconuts, avocadoes, cabbages. This is hard because coconuts and avocadoes are what I was using for fat, especially coconut milk. Type O's are supposed to be meat-eaters as well and not do grains. Are there many Type O's who are doing RAW, vegan successfully? Alot of the autism doctors, called DAN docs, are supporting the " Blood Type " diet. I felt great when we were doing the RAW diet last summer, but I desperately need to do a diet that is going to help my son! Thanks for any help, Beth
