Guest guest
HI there, sounds uncomfortable. No need to feel embarrassed, though, it's happened to just about everyone. Eat more fruits, not less. And eat tender greens (lettuces, primarily, unless you know where to get other genuinely tender greens). What you are looking for are: hydration ... water (fruits and tender greens) soft, digestible fiber (fruits and tender greens) alkalizing minerals (fruits and tender greens) Eat the foods whole, not as smoothies. FOCUS on chewing as a life-altering event ... it WILL be! Eliminate COMPLETELY, for a bit, at least, all nuts, seeds, grains, legumes, anything animal that may be in your diet. supplements (anything that comes in a box, bottle, can, or other packaging that did not come straight from Nature. I remember as story told by Humbart " Smokey " Santillo years ago. He grew up in an Italian family where they ate meat, bread, pasta, sauce, cheese, grease, and wine (basically). He decided to go all-raw. On his first day, eating all fruit, he apparently went to the bathroom 14 times. He also had a first date that day, perhaps not the most convenient confluence of circumstances, as it were. LOL Even when eating the most unhealthy foods. Sadly for the first time since I can remember the last 3 days have been annoying lol. I never knew what it was like to not be able to use the loo. What to do? What to do? I really don't want to ask my doc or ask a friend. Super embarrassing! Am I eating too much fruit? The only fruits I've been eating are Strawberries Nectarines Oranges Pears Kiwi Cantaloupe Thanks Bunches!! <http://geo./serv?s=97359714/grpId=5520395/grpspId=1705015482/msgId =27193/stime=1169262570/nc1=4299913/nc2=4025369/nc3=3>
Guest guest
I really don't know about this as far as if you are eating foods that constipate althought that seems like fiberous fruits in there to me. New to raw here. But I got constipated over Christmas, before I went raw, and I picked up some unsulfered prunes and ate a lot and it cleared me up. Guest guest
I will try that. It's grocery day tomorrow! Is it better to eat more water filled fruits rather than sugary ones like banana's? Does it bung up less? Elchanan <Elchanan wrote: HI there, sounds uncomfortable. Guest guest
Great question, I debated whether to mention that the first time around. In the long run, we suggest that people build their program around sweet (and subacid) fruits, using acid fruits as a seasonal accent. But you are correct, in general the sweet fruits have lower water content than the acid fruits. And where the bowel is concerned, proper hydration is essential. So you might try a combination, very wet fruits to begin the day, then sweet fruits such as bananas during the day, then wet fruits late afternoon, then salad with NO overt fats (avocado, nuts, seeds oil). Great wet fruits are citrus, tomatoes (especially in the evening, but okay right now anytime), kiwi, etc. Hope this helps!] Elchanan _____ rawfood [rawfood ] On Behalf Of Blondy Friday, January 19, 2007 8:41 PM rawfood RE: [Raw Food] Constipation. Guest guest
LOL indeed! Asian pears should be a winner! Eat what you love ... and you'll love what you eat! In spite of what some in the RF world may claim, chocolate is a stimulant, not a food. Sorry ... I know, I used to be a total chocoholic, to the point where I could often tell from what country/brand a given product came. Can you imagine!!! Not anymore!
