green beans

Akk!! I cannot find a raw green bean recipe anywhere online! I bought the long

green beans and I'm hungry and would love to make them for lunch tomorrow.

Any ideas?

Hmmm. I usually just eat them alone or in salads. I wouldn't know how

else to prepare them...

I would like to know about green beens. When we grow our green beens

we can them and we only like the little ones and they do taste good

raw but I just learned about the raw diet in late sep and started

towards it in oct. but when we picked our green beens we all did eat

lots of the raw fresh out of the garden. We canned 160 qts. this years

and I have eaten some for my cooked veg. but now that is only once a

week. For the last 2 weeks I have eaten raw and on sunday I eat veg

but they are the ones that are cooked.

I made my first raw green bean salad. It was ok, The skins on the green beans

are pretty tough but I didn't dislike it like I thought I would. Not too shabby

Marinated Green Beans Recipe

 

 

Marinated Green Beans

Recipes for Life- Rhonda Malkmus

 

1 lb. green beans

1 garlic clove

½ tsp. dried rosemary

¼ cup fresh basil

1 TB extra virgin olive oil

2 TB onions

2 stalks celery

1 C tomato

Juice of ½ a lemon

Bragg Liquid aminos to taste

 

Wash and remove ends from beans, slice lengthwise and then diagonally into 1

inch pieces chop tomato, dice celery, and mince garlic and basil. Combine with

other ingredients and marinate 1 hour before serving.

You can also steam them and grate a little orange peel on top. Very good! Pam
