Guest guest
I made this last night. It was gross. I was disappointed that I waited so long for it to dehydrate because I could have been making something else. I followed the recipe to a T so I don't know why it didn't taste great. I am determined to get some type of onion bread working because I miss sandwiches and lettuce leaves aren't cutting it anymore lmao. I might tweak this recipe. danielladotti <sheisaceo wrote: Thanks! Wow, funny how all our tastes are different. Back when I dehydrated foods, the onion bread was the only thing I really liked. But I love sunflower seeds, so that could be why. I also used fewer sunflower seeds. Instead of Nama Shoyu or braggs I put in a tiny dash of Celtic salt. I am staying away from salt, otherwise I'd try it again. Have you tried collard greens for wraps? They are amazingly delicious. Ariannah in Nova Scotia -- Personal Blog: http://ec.lecti.ca

Guest guest
What didn't you like about it? I made it and even my non raw kids thought it was wonderful. Shari
Guest guest
It was tasteless. It fell apart too easy when I bit into it as a sandwich =( SV <shavig wrote: What didn't you like about it? Guest guest
Sounds like your onions were tasteless and it was spread too thin on the sheet. I think I only got one sheet full of " dough " when I made it. Plus, I ground up half the onion a bit more than the recipe called for. Someone had written a comment about the texture and I followed her suggestion. Mine did not fall apart, was flexible without being under dehydrated at the same time. Did you use Nama Shoyu? Guest guest
Nope. I don't have any. Maybe it would have tasted better with it lol SV <shavig wrote: Did you use Nama Shoyu? Shari

Guest guest
I did. I just didn't use the raw soya sauce. I didn't have any. I don't think I would like it. SV <shavig wrote: " Nope. Guest guest
Well, see in my mind not using the nama shoyu is not following the recipe. And saying it was awful is not fair to the person who wrote the recipe. When you follow a recipe EXACTLY as it is written which means using the exact measurements of the exact ingredients as written, applying it to the teflex sheets in exactly the manner as directed and dehydrating for the correct amount of time, THEN and only then may you complain about a recipe. Our household does not use nama shoyu as a rule, but I did for this recipe and it was a hit. It has quite a strong flavor, but it was very tasty and I have made it more than once.
