Guest guest
I made 3 batches of fruit leathers. First batch came out crispy like chips which I did not want. lol. I wanted to roll them like fruit roll ups. 2nd batch came out too thin and very transparent. 3rd batch is not even dried all the way. I am hoping it won't become rock solid lol. How do you get your fruit leathers nice and roll able??
Guest guest
Sounds like you might be making them too thin in the first place. I make mine about a 1/4 of an inch thick on the outside and I thin it in towards the middle to about 1/8. That allows the entire sheet to be done at the same time. If you make it all the same thickness the outside will get crispy/hard before the middle gets done. Hope this helps. I made 3 batches of fruit leathers. Guest guest
I was just using pure fruits. I found if I make fruit leathers which contain apples as an ingredient it works out great!
