Guest guest
Our local Costco has a big sign up that says that VitaMix will be having a demonstration/sale on March 21st. Has anyone bought one at Costco? Is it really a significant savings off of an ordered one? It didn't list a price and so I have no idea what the cost is during the demonstration. Also, I see that several people have the L'Equip, which is much cheaper. What does the L'equip not do that the Vitamix does or visavera? thanks, Dawn
Guest guest
Costco is selling the really good one - model 5000 for about $359 (I think) - I bought one at Sam's Club two years ago and use it every single day. Check prices online and compare. Julie - KenyaMK rawfood Monday, January 29, 2007 1:32 PM [Raw Food] VitaMix from Costco? Is it really a good savings? Guest guest
Thanks. I didn't even know there were 2 models! I think they normally give you some added things thrown in, although I really don't remember. I will check around and if I have to wait until March that will also give me some time to save up. Check the vitamix website www.vitamix.com I think their going rate is $450. That is what I paid. If Costco is having a demo, it is most likely with Vitamix traveling demonstrators. If they are Vitamix representatives, i.e., if your service and warranty will be directly handled by Vitamix (you would know by the paperwork), then, if they offer a better price, go for it. I have had my Vitamix for 6 years and I love it. I always wanted one, and I could not be convinced to buy anything else. Now they have other products which give similar results, and some say give better results, but, since I have my Vitamix, that is what I use. I am not going to replace it anytime soon. Since I know that they tend to last a very long time, that might be the rest of my life. What I cannot do in my Vitamix I can do in my food processor. I hope this helps. Guest guest
I went to a vitamix demo at our Costco and it is indeed the real thing and the warranty is handled by costco. The guy doing the demo was great at showing how he used it and he gave out plenty of samples. I stood there for at least 30 mins. I think our Costco was offering it for $350 plus. It was not over $400 but can't remember the exact price.
