didn't cook food and I eat lots of fruit and he thinks that is why I have had

diet.

I duno. Maybe I am not but Im frustrated. What greens help with cut healing?

All raw greens are chock full of nutrients.

Try using some raw honey on the cut. Here's an excerpt from one

article that attests to its effectiveness, and there are others if

you do a Web search:

Honey has been used for centuries to aid in the healing of persistent

wounds and burns. Documentation regarding its use dates as far back

as 1700 BC. Several characteristics are likely to contribute to

honeys effectiveness as a wound-healer: it is rich in sugar, which

allows it to draw infection and fluid from wounds by a process called

osmosis; its acidic pH, and the presence of an enzyme that stimulates

small amounts of hydrogen peroxide to form, prevent bacterial

infections; and, it can promote healing by maintaining a protective

barrier and by holding in moisture. Furthermore, antibacterial and

wound-healing components from the plants used by the bees in the

production of honey might contribute to its effectiveness. To date,

more than 500 reports, including several controlled trials, of

successful wound healing with honey have been published.

Well there is no " cut " to put honey on. My skin has a red line from the cut

where it healed and there is a big lump under it which my doc says its scar

tissue. Its almost touching my middle knuckle on my right index.

It's red and sore and if I can still put honey on the skin I would.. should I

try that even though there is no open cut?

just chew on some wheat grass and put the pulp on your

cut. I have yet to see a cut or burn that has not

benifitted from this simple treatment.

If there's no open wound, then honey might not do much good. You

might try massaging the scar twice a day with jojoba oil, which is

said to have soothing properties, as well as having anti-bacterial,

anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties.

As far as foods that promote tissue healing, one such food is

supposed to be fresh pineapple, which is high in the enzyme bromelain:

See this article:

" Bromelain, a natural anti-inflammatory with analgesic properties,

encourages healing, promotes well-being and has many other health

benefits. "

I had a cut on my leg (from a very sharp knife sliding off the counter then

bouncing on the floor into my leg and slicing my shin - watch how you lay

that knife down) which took 5 stitches. After the stitches were removed

there was a lump underneath and it stayed tender for awhile. The lump

disappeared after a couple of months. The scare is fading even though I

haven't used anything on it.

Hi Pat,

Was the lumpy area inflammed and sore? My finger drives me crazy. The odd time

there will be no pain until I accidently bump it into something and other times

its itchy like crazy and other times its hurts alot. =( I guess I will give it 1

more month and see what happens.

Thanks!

Hey Jenny,

The wounded area was tender at first, but eventually went away. It did itch

as it was healing. The healing took quite awhile, but the cut is not right

on the shin bone, but off to the side kind of out of the way of danger of

being bumped a lot. The lump has completely disappeared. That cut cost over

$1,200 and over a year later, I got another bill in the mail asking for

another couple hundred - Heavens!!

Anyway, I would give it longer to heal.
