Guest guest
Hi Dobby, Not " stupid " at all!!! Great questions. A teleconference is a program delivered over the phone network. Participants call into one prearranged phone number, and typically enter an access code to get to their particular conference. The conference leader(s) have some controls for muting and a few other functions, depending on which vendor they are using to provide the teleconference. Once you call the phone # and enter the access code (sometimes called a " bridge code " ), you are " in " the call. In our case, you can listen, and you can also " raise your hand " to ask questions. We explain how at the beginning of every call. While we are presenting, we mute out everyone but the conference leaders (ourselves). When you " raise your hand " , we can unmute you individually so that you can enter the conversation ask your question or share your comment, etc. Our policy, at the moment, is that if you RSVP for one of our free teleconferences, we will send you the link to download the audio program afterward, even if you did not " show up " during the conference. We are currently reviewing this policy, given the high percentage of no-shows. To RSVP for this particular teleconference, simply send an email to RSVP. Please include your full, REAL name and the phone # from which you plan to call in. If you are calling via Skype or a credit card, simply make note of this. I hope this makes the whole teleconference activity more clear!
