Guest guest
Does anyone know an easy way to grow wheatgrass? Or also is there another good form to take it in other than fresh if you can't get it? I used to get it freeze dried and liked that. I'd like to use wheatgrass again but need some help getting it going. Annie
Guest guest
I was taking tablets but if I remember correctly there was one other ingredient in them.. maybe the product that holds it together in pill form. I stopped taking them when I found out it wasnt 100% wheat grass. Im not sure if there is 100% wheat grass holistic tablets. It was crazy though because according to the bottle it recommended 5-20 pills daily! innerventures wrote: Does anyone know an easy way to grow wheatgrass? Guest guest
A good site to visit would be happyjuicer.com as they have a lot of wheat grass info. When I for mine is simply soak the wheat berries for about 12 hours (depends on the weather since my house is not heated so great) and then drain and lay out in a flat tray with two or thee folded white paper towels in the bottom.(I have used old school lunch trays in the past but it is difficult to find those now and they are too big for my itsy bitsy kitchen, so I use the seethrough plastic shoe boxes from walmart.} making sure you dont overlap the seeds. Then I put them inside a large black garbage bag for a few days to keep them out of the light. make certain to leave a space for the air to circulate. I take a spray bottle and put in about a tablespoon of ground kelp and good water and spritz them regularly (this compensates for not being grown in soil) After about 3 days when they are bout an inch high I take them out of the bags and place the bags just over the top so that they start to get some indirect sun light when they are about 5-7 inches high they are ready to be harvested and juiced. ______________________________\ ____ 8:00? 8:25? 8:40?
