Why Fasting?

 

Fasting is necessary to remove unnecessary weight the natural way and

to learn how to KEEP IT OFF for the rest of your life;

 

Fasting is necessary to remove the immeasurable pounds of inner,

toxic waste dump now polluting the average adult's cell, tissue and

organ storage areas (chemical toxins, heavy metals, drugs,

uneliminated metabolic wastes, excessive cholesterol and

triglycerides in the bloodstream, arterial plaque, intestinal

parasites, etc.);

 

Fasting is necessary to to regain the energy you may previously have

enjoyed as you allow your body time to detoxify and your digestive

system time to rest;

 

Fasting is necessary to clear clouded consciousness, to obtain

spiritual and emotional clairity, to surrender yourself into the

greatest of human potential;

 

Fasting is necessary to heighten all senses, to allow you to see, to

feel, to KNOW, truly know your life's options, and then decide among

them wisely;

 

 

Fasting is necessary to reconnect yourself to yourself, to your

Divine self, to bring you back to your original state of blissfull

being.

am interested in trying something other than MC

Hello

 

 

 

I'm an experienced hygienist and would like to ask people to fully interview

the person they are fasting with. In the past I have recommended a few

different practitioners and one of them has been rather dogmatic in their

views and not being what I refer to as " safe. " I'm not at liberty to say who

it is but please ask plenty of questions and GET REFERALS!!!

You don't need a recipe for fasting. Fasting means rest of your

whole system, digestion included. When you fast, you drink water and

rest. No recipe needed.

well I would love to rest but im a full time nursing student so i cant stay at

home to fast i was thinking something other than water.. i dont want to get

dizzy from low blood sugar. (not diabetic)

I have done a 2 week orange juice fast.

It is a bit of a pain because you always have to have

oranges and a hand juicer with you. The juice must be

fresh when you drink it. I don't know much about

fasting but it worked for me and my busy lifestyle.

It felt amazing!

Have you heard of the master cleanse? Can't remember if this has been brought up

here. Its also called the lemon juice fast. It is the one I do because I can't

take time off just to cleanse. With the master cleanse, I actually was able to

do light workouts.

standing weight-lifting increment on the bench press -- totally blew me

away along with the guys I usually work out with, who by the way thought

I was nuts anyway for doing that. Plus they know I have a wheatgrass

farm! They could not argue what they saw -- 345-lbs on the bench-press

and I'm 51-years YOUNG! :)

AMAZING! But not surprising. Its great how much energy your body has when its

I have never stayed home or changed my schedule at all when I

have done Master Cleanse. I have never gotten dizzy, either.

I just keep a big cup or or a water bottle full of the lemonade

within reach, and sip it whenever it occurs to me (I usually fill

a 2 liter soda bottle and carry that with me for the day, and

pour from it. the first day, I might finish the bottle, but I usually

end up carrying some lemonade back home.

what's a good MC substitute. I didnt like the taste.

The master cleanse isn't raw- the maple syrup is boiled.

None that I know of, but it does become an acquired taste. After a few days its

not so bad. I've done it so much I actually enjoy the taste! I know, I'm crazy,

but it actually tastes good to me!

What happened to fasting being about not eating or drinking except

water? (and maybe doing this in a reasonable amount of time - say a

day or two or three maybe... why weeks & months?)

I haven't yet understood why so many Raw Foodie's are so into

cleanses and fasts & stuff. I thought most people who begin to think

and let the universe lead them toward a healthier, more natural way

of living/eating would also begin to see the simplicity in life.

Shrugging my shoulders -

I don't get the average Raw Foodie's thought processes in this area.

Oh do I EVER hear you on that one! I've seen other forums entitled

" green smoothie fast " .

I've always been puzzled by people saying they are going on a fruit

fast, or anything that still involves consumption of whole foods. Mono

eating, maybe. Simpler eating, Maybe, but it's not, by what I grew up

understanding a fast to be.

Most people I know of tend to eat more simply as time progresses. I

know of very few people who get more and more gourmet and such.
