Guest guest
I accidentally caught a news blurb on " Beyonce's Diet " .... guess what it was that made her lose 20 lbs. in 2 weeks? You've got it! good old Master Cleanse.... Now, just as the reporters cautioned, I don't necessarily recommend it solely for weight loss (although that *is* what initially sold me, way back when), it *is*, as was mentioned in the report, a very good way to jump-start a new way of eating (do you know anybody who could use such an idea? I know I used it to go back to raw, at that same time that I was using it to lose weight.) the report said that you could go to cbs.com for more info, but all you get there is an ad. fooey. I am gearing up to do a Master Cleanse again because I have a weird health issue happening, and I just happen to have really good luck when I do Master Cleanse for serious health issues... to date, when I have done a Master Cleanse before dragging myself to the doctor for something that has me fearful, I have a) relieved the issue to my satisfaction and b) come up with a full bill of health from the doctor (Okay, I wimped out when I had shingles, but I did the Master Cleanse even as I pursued my course of medication and salves, and I had a much shorter and less agonizing experience than what other people have described to me.) In addition, when I have had diagnosed serious health issues, Master Cleanse has helped me out big time. (I'm still here.) I'm going for blood tests next week. On my way home, I will pick up the lemons and maple syrup. I will start with a tea when I get home. I have a very good lunch bag for carrying a 2 liter bottle -- my roommate drinks soda like it's going out of style, so I'm sure to have one to use!) Guest guest
I would caution ANYONE wanting to do the master cleanse that they take the time to read everything they can about it. You can do the same thing fasting on water - without the cayenne pepper (stimulant), salt (dehydrating to the body)or laxatives and ultimately get the same results. Nothing wrong with fasting if you know what you are doing and it is done properly. Donna
Guest guest
From the Master Cleanse web site: Misconception #8: The Master Cleanse is for everyone. The truth: The Master Cleanse is great, but it's not for everyone. It is probably the second most powerful (read that as the fastest) way to detoxify the body. Only a water fast is more powerful. If a person has a great deal of stored toxins, releasing them too quickly results in detox symptoms, such as headaches, rashes, tiredness, irritability, even vomiting. Those people should not do the Master Cleanse. They should detoxify much more slowly with a better diet. Also, people recovering from surgery need large amounts of protein to regenerate tissue and so should not do the Master Cleanse until they have completely recovered from surgery. Pregnant and nursing women should not do it either, as there is a remote possibility that the toxins may find their way into the infant. Although, I have never heard of such actually occurring, but better safe than sorry.
