Hello everyone!

My name is Carly.I'm new to the group.

I wanted to say hello and ask for a bit of guidance.

I'm a type 2 diabetic. I have been reading and learning about the raw

food life style and I believe that it would help me a great deal.I was a

vegetarian 18 years ago,but when I became pregnant my doctors said I

must eat meat, because of the pregnancy and also because I was

anemic...biggest mistake I ever made.

I have eliminated processed foods, sugar, all kinds of flour, white

rice, potatoes. In fact I have not been eating grains for 2 months now.

I have been eating 2/3 of my meals raw for a couple of weeks now.

My blood sugars have been between 90 and 120 for the most part, except

when I over do it with the fruit....I love my fruit, but I realize I

have to cut down.I've been making green smoothies for breakfast, with

fruit and greens.I've been learning about sprouting a bit as well.

I eat some fish but have cut out meat and chicken drastically.I would

like to get to the point where I'm not eating any meats, cooked or

otherwise.I would appreciate any tips, advice and suggestions about what

I should be including in my diet etc...

I am on several medications for my diabetes and I really want to get

off of them.I know this can be accomplished by eating whole live

foods,and exercising,but I need some help.

Thank you all and have a wonderful night!

Carly
