Oliver is a London-based lawyer offering

advice/assistance, especially to animal rights advocates. Here is his recent

announcement:

Ladies and gentlemen!

In case you’ve been wondering what on earth

this old chap has been doing with his life over the last few months, the answer

is: busily setting up own law practice.

Now open for business in central London, can assist with various matters,

i.e.:

Non-contentious matters, in particular:

·

Checking / drafting

tenancy agreements

·

Checking / drafting

contracts, commercial agreements generally

·

Insolvency and bankruptcy

·

Will drafting

Contentious cases in civil courts (ie High Court,

County Court), in particular:

·

Commercial litigation,

e.g. credit card claims*, disputes over commercial contracts, insolvency

litigation, landlord & tenant litigation / repossession claims

·

Professional negligence

(i.e. claims against surveyors, insurance brokers, other solicitors, etc for

negligent advice/work which has caused loss)

·

Other litigation,

including claims for damages against the police for false imprisonment

·

Probate litigation /

disputes over Wills

You will obviously wish to form your own view, but I

believe we offer very good value for money:

·

A free initial telephone

consultation in respect of any matter within our expertise

·

A special offer is

available to anyone in AR in respect of any potential dispute / contentious

matter within our expertise: a free,

no-strings attached, no obligation initial meeting, up to 1 hour

long, at our office in central London.

This applies in respect of any pre-booked appointment which takes place on or

before 30th September 2009. At this we can consider whether it is

feasible and in your interests to take the case any further, though as said,

such initial meeting is totally without any obligation on your part.

·

After that:

-

wherever possible –

especially as regards credit card claims or claims against the police for false

imprisonment – if we can take the case on, we will offer to you what is

commonly known as a ‘no win no fee’ agreement;

-

even if it is not

possible to offer a ‘no win no fee’ agreement, our charges should

be very competitive (so far as am aware, our hourly charging rate is much lower

than that of most other solicitors in London)

The areas of law below are outside my area of

expertise, but in most cases could happily make recommendations as to another

solicitors’ practice with the requisite expertise:

·

Employment law disputes,

in particular a claim to an Employment Tribunal if you have lost your job (or

defending such a claim if you’re an employer);

·

Conveyancing for house

purchase / sale;

·

Defending criminal

charges (others will know them better than I do, but Birds look pretty

impressive to me)

·

Family proceedings i.e.

divorce etc

If you’d like to get in touch, please ring me

on my mobile 07776 180324, can then give you the full contact details. If in

any doubt, when we first speak I’ll happily confirm whether the matter

falls within our area of practice, or if it doesn’t, at least try to give

you a recommendation as to another solicitors’ practice, if you need one.

Hope you’re all well

Very best wishes to all

Oliver

As you may have heard, if you have a credit card taken out before 6th

April 2007 it may be that the agreement is unenforceable in which case

you could get your outstanding balance cleared. There are a lot of claims

companies getting involved here, many (though not all) of which are dodgy,

especially those who cold-call / claim that they can guarantee to clear the outstanding balance / take a hefty sum

upfront from people while claiming they’ll get their debts cleared, but

then failing to deliver - so beware! Needless to say, my practice is regulated

by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
