Guest guest
Maybe it's the militarizing of today's law enforcement, or their pond scum standards of recruitment; but this is becoming an increasingly despicable trend across the U.S.. These goon squads are OUT OF CONTROL!! Kelly Wesner and her family lost their cat, Tobey, who had been a member of the family for 18 years. The Raymore Police Department says they shot Tobey twice with a shotgun and put his body into a nearby dumpster. Wesner said Tobey managed to sneak outside on Labor Day without anyone noticing. What happened next left Wesner dumbfounded. “It doesn’t make any sense,†she said. Raymore police were called after someone reported an aggressive cat had scratched a young girl. According to a police report, the cat was wild, sick, and had all four legs out with claws extended. The report also stated that the cat was very large. “How could you scratch if you have no claws,†Wesner asked. She says Tobey had been declawed more than 10 years ago. She also said Tobey had a thyroid condition which kept the cat at six pounds. After capturing Tobey, police then took him to a field and shot him twice with a shotgun. “How could you do that? That’s inhumane,†Wesner said. Raymore police sent a letter of condolence to the family, but Wesner and her family say it is not nearly enough. “It took three police officers to put a six-pound cat in a box because he was scratching and clawing at the container he was put in,†Wesner said. “But we know that isn’t true.†Police officials have not commented on this case so far. -30- BABY ANIMAL / BIRD RESCUE TIP: Start saving the lint from your dryer. If you should ever find yourself in need of a nest, you can create one by using this as an ultra soft material to line a container. Rodents, birds and many others seek out similar materials in nature with which to build their nests. Trust our government to delay, bungle and kill every worthwhile social program they undertake; yet with incredible speed and efficiency--shred the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. ~Brennan Browne~ THE GOVERNMENT’S COVERT, BUT TRUE, DEFINITION OF TERRORISM: ANY act which threatens to take political or corporate power/profits from the status quo. ~Brennan Browne~ The concept of 'animal rights' values the simple premise that ALL living creatures have a " right " to be allowed to live their lives without victimization--free from brutality. It is a right that EVERY being strives for. ~Brennan Browne~ Animal Rights--Rational, not Radical.
