NYC: demonstration against horse-carriage industry - Monday 9-21

Please join the Coalition to Ban Horse-Drawn Carriages, Friends of Animals, Heart for Animals and NYC activists tomorrow for a demonstration/press conference against the horse-drawn carriage industry as we once again ask Mayor Bloomberg to ban the unsafe and inhumane

horse-drawn carriage industry.

 

This comes on the heels of the most recent accident that occurred September 19th at midday at 60th St and Fifth Avenue. A taxi plowed into a carriage, smashing it. The taxi driver and horse carriage driver were hospitalized. The horse bolted but supposedly is OK. See this video by Donny Moss.

 

Council Member Tony Avella will join us as he speaks about the critical necessity to pass Intro 658 -the historic bill to ban the inhumane and unsafe horse-drawn carriages.
