Guest guest
Who put the Bob in the Shish Kabob-kabob?December 9th, 2009 (Who put the ram in the rama lama ding dong?)Like everyone else, I love a good cannibal story. Whether it’s Hannibal Lector or British Columbia pig-farmer-turned-serial-killer Robert Picton, there is something about breaking the taboo of eating humans that tweaks our interest. Like me, you probably divide cannibal experiences into two groups: those who turned cannibal because they were really, really hungry like the Donner Pass party; or those who turn cannibal as rogues: for fun, taste, cheap meat, or to piss everyone off. The latter group are the ones I really like, particularly when they share their human meat with unsuspecting friends and neighbors. We forget sometimes that we’re made out of meat, so I love reminders like this one about three homeless people who ate a fellow homeless person, then sold the leftovers to a shish-kebob restaurant. I wonder about the people who unknowingly ate this homeless guy. But what did they think they were eating, potatoes? They didn't know much about all the other animals they ate, so why should they feel they deserved an introduction prior to eating the homeless guy? I think carnivores should just live with it. Quit bitching. You’re cannibals whether you know it or not. You think the sausage factory grinds to a halt if someone falls in the hopper? Not bloody likely. But even without the occasional goût d’human, the typical diet is filled with the corpses of animals who otherwise might be going about their lives. Don't like cannibals? Then don't be one. www.BobChorush.com Read The Bob Blog Blog www.BobChorush.com/blog
