Guest guest
Bookings are now open for the Vegan 15 Peaks Challenge 2010! On June 5, 2010, a team of extremely fit (or foolish?) vegans will attempt to climb all 15 Welsh mountains over 914 m (3,000 ft), in under 24 hours. They will cover 48 km, with nearly 4,000 m of ascent and descent, over the beautiful mountains of Snowdonia. Why? Animal-based diets are the single greatest contributors to global warming, human health and animal welfare problems, but many worry a vegan diet would make them weak or unfit, and that a vegan lifestyle is no fun. We will prove them wrong, on both counts! Is this for you? If you are vegan, reasonably fit and prepared to train hard, this challenge is for you. You can also fundraise for a charity of your choice! Mountain Leadership and safety management is provided by Lupine Adventure, who will charge £115, including carbon offsetting. Travel, accommodation and food will be extra. All participants will need to complete the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge as a rehearsal on Sunday 11 April. Of 9 places on the team, several are already gone. Register soon at www.lupineadventure.co.uk/vegan-15-peak-challenge.html. Inquiries to Lupine Adventure or www.ExtremeVeganSports.org . Brought to you by Lupine Adventure and the Extreme Vegan Sporting Association – showcasing vegan fitness! ------ End of Forwarded Message
