Sirs:

Steven Clay Romero is a danger to society. Please judge him based on the

brutality of this heinous ACT, and NOT on the fact that his victim was a

NON-HUMAN. There is literally only one factor that sets this atrocity apart from

that of a human victim -- Buddy's inability to defend himself. As the coward

Romero is, he will undoubtedly search out future victims which have no physical

" defense " against him. NO ONE with limited ability to fight back will be safe

from this man -- the elderly, frail, toddlers and virtually ALL non-humans could

very well be subjected at any moment, to the same bouts of vindictive,

irrational rage he has already displayed -- with similar results.

It is my understanding that Romero not only has NO REMORSE for his despicable

actions, but he fails to see why he should be held accountable at all. This is

a classic reaction from a psychopathic personality. Please avert future

suffering and loss of life; give Romero the fullest and stiffest sentence

possible under the law.
