Ambulance officers were called to the Sea World theme park about 3.15pm (AEST) to find a trainer had sustained neck and back injuries after a dolphin fell on him, a Department of Community Safety spokeswoman said. The injuries were minor, the spokeswoman said. " It's not every day you can say that happened,'' she said. In a statement Sea World said a marine mammal trainer incurred a minor soft tissue injury when he was " bumped'' by a dolphin doing an aerial manoeuvre in a training session. The trainer, who was in the pool with the dolphin, was assessed by the Sea World nurse and was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure, the statement said. " The trainer will return to work tomorrow,'' the statement said. There was no injury to the dolphin. A Sea World spokeswoman said no further information was available. www.BobChorush.com Read The Bob Blog Blog www.BobChorush.com/blog
