We are blanketed by 40 inches of snow and another crippling storm is on the way with a potential for an additional 12-18 inches just four days after receiving over three feet of snow! There is damage everywhere. We have not been able to access all areas to check the fences and buildings thoroughly but we can already see that the adoptable cat roof has collapsed. (Fortunately, no injuries). To add to the misery, our snow plow has broken down so we have the added expense of hiring a professional to open access to the animals so that they can be fed. We cannot estimate as yet what the increased electricity usage will cost but we are sure it will be a sizable expense. PLEASE! PLEASE! If you possibly can - make a donation of any amount online to PIGS`s website using your credit card. The mail service has been suspended and since we lose internet during storms, no donations are reaching us. We urge you to make a donation on-line via our website at www.pigs.org. The animals thank you for your compassion. Sincerely, Melissa Susko Executive Director Please cross-post to all of your family and friends!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
