This is so incredibly sad.

 

Don't you love attorneys who defend animal abusers? Oh yeah, the perp is a "conscientious pet owner." Attorney Jim Walsh, who said, "Many people keep dogs outside during the winter," needs to study the NYS Dog Shelter Law: http://codes.lp.findlaw.com/nycode/AGM/26/353-b. It seems pretty clear that many terms of it were broken, and thus, it's shameful -- and, in my opinion, criminal -- that nothing was done when the neighbor called to try to get help for the poor dogs.

 

The perp deserves the book thrown at him, and all of us in NY need to get Buster's Law -- the NYS animal cruelty law -- strenghtened (https://www.hvcc.edu/deptweb-animaloutreach/events.html).
