Guest guest
Indiana is considering a ban on "penning" or "live bait dog training," in which packs of dogs are taught to hunt and kill using live foxes or coyotes as bait. The animals are sometimes confined in pens, so the foxes and coyotes have no chance for escape. For some, penning is a sport in itself. A disturbing video of live bait dog training is available on YouTube. Project Coyote is asking Indiana residents to submit comments to the Indiana Natural Resources Commission and to the governor. Ask them to support the petitions to prohibit the taking, killing and harassment of coyotes and red foxes for penning and for live bait in the wild.
