I received this email.

> Today’s update has marvellous news..

> > There is HUGE excitement about change in NC shelters today. After the recent pending changes to law in Georgia regarding euthanasia in shelters, and the pending legislative changes asked for in NC by Davies Law, THERE ARE some positive changes happening already in NC without the law changes yet coming in..>

> This is why there is excitement.. Group member and animal rescuer Sandie Faughnan was at Robeson about 36 hours ago to take out some dogs, ago and saw three Government vehicles and a team of smartly dressed people with clipboards inspecting the place and interviewing Manger Jeff Bass, who looked very worried.. . She duly posted this on the group wall.. some of you may have seen that.. . It now appears they were a team from the DEA, and that THE LICENSE FOR HEARTSTICK EUTHANASIA HAS BEEN REVOKED at Robeson and all staff are to receive compassion relief training, as well as other things having to take place. THIS DOES NOT mean the license won’t be re-instated, which is always a possibility..just that it is NOW revoked. It is exciting in that it may lead very soon to more permanent and positive changes.

> > One concern is that whilst this is revocation is in place, that the shelter will fill up and what then, is there a chance that the animals due PTS wil be carted off to a gas shelter?

> I hope not, and to that end it is still important to crosspost the Robeson animals needing out, and also to keep pressure up in all areas in the eventual hope that it will lead to PERMANENT and positive change not only at Robeson but in all NC shelters.

> Feel proud of yourselves, for without the actions of all those who initially bombed Bev Perdue’s wall, and then joined this group and kept up the pressure, this may not have happened. There are others, like Faith Walker who has tried for twelve years to get change at Robeson, and now all of a sudden it is all happening? Some of it HAS to have come about right now and all of a sudden, with the help of the THOUSANDS of people who are willing to take action and campaign for change in the way you all have been doing.

Keep it up guys, this is a revolution and the ball is now rolling...and it won't be stopping until the changes we all want to see in ALL NC shelters have been actioned.
