DogsInDanger and The Buddy Fund announced today their plans to hold a first ever Walk-A-Thon in Franklin D. Roosevelt Park in Yorktown Heights, NY! This will be the second event for the organization. In case you missed the first celebrity mixer held in Beverly Hills, CA, check out the photos, where notable celebrities joined Alex and Brenda, the founders of the organization, for an incredible party. The Buddy Fund also announced that 100% of the net receipts from the event will go toward the production of a DogsInDanger national television Public Service Announcement. The PSA will run on hundreds of networks around the nation, increasing awareness of the website and its life saving mission. The heightened awareness will increase adoptions of dogs on death row, making shelters happy, and the saved dogs MUCH, MUCH happier. The June 12th event is sure to be another festive affair with celebrities from all over the country mingling with participants. Coffee Labs Roasters in Tarrytown has already offered sponsorship and will be serving their uniquely delicious coffee blends and pastries. Supermodel and Dancing With The Stars finalist Joanna Krupa is expected to lead the walk along with a "who's who" of celebrities that will join the event. Virtual participants are welcome and everyone will be vying for a super prize, just for raising the most funds! Auctions, vendors, demonstrations, free stuff of all kinds, and of course THE DOGGIES will make this a memorable event. Save the date now, details will be forthcoming. We and the doggies are counting on you...don't let us down!
