Guest guest
USAMary Shaver March 29 at 5:03am ReplyDear Companion Pet Lovers ~Regrettably, this past Saturday's meeting was disrupted by approximately 12 members from the Ohio Professional Dog Breeders Association and the Ohio Asociation of Animal Owners, Inc. - >http://www.oaao.us/. Millersburg Police and Holmes County Sheriff's deputies were called to the scene, and those who had distributed "The Animal Rights Agenda" fliers at the entranceway to the Holmes County Library were asked to leave due to violation of the library's no solicitation policy. As a result of the actions initiated by this group, a decision was made to cancel the meeting, and a new meeting has been tentatively rescheduled for Saturday, April 17 at 10:00 AM, to take place at a location on private property. (Additional details will be mailed under separate cover.)For a perspective of what took place during this event, we invite you to read the article, "Meeting canceled Opponents, supporters of dog auctions argue at library," published by Chris Johnson of The Daily Reporter - > http://www.the-daily-record.com/news/article/4798302. As with every news article addressing Ohio dog auctions, we welcome and encourage comments to be posted to the Forum.(On a side note, we received some disturbing reports from the March 27 Ohio Dog Auction which included two dogs purchased by a rescue that had broken legs. The veterinarian's report has been requested from the rescue, and we will provide you additional details on that case as they are received by the Coalition.) Again, we appreciate your continued support of our campaign and apologize for any inconvenience this cancellation may have caused to your schedule.
